Nourish: An evening to reclaim our needs.

The days are shortening and the air is getting crisp and cool. A new season is upon us....

Before we rush right into the next chapter, let's ground, breathe, and feel into what we really need for our nourishment.

GATHERING INCLUDES

Nourishing Your Cycle

Yoni steaming will be a component of our evening together.

If you have never steamed before, you will be fully guided. Kit will ground you and the group in how to steam safely, and you will be supported through your first experience.

If steaming is already part of your life, this is an opportunity to deepen your practice within a held circle of women.

We will steam in child’s pose, a deeply restorative position that allows the steam to rise toward the pelvic space while the body rests. If child’s pose does not feel easeful and comfortable in your body, a yoni steam seat will be available.

You will leave knowing how to continue steaming safely at home.

And you'll have what you need to continue steaming safely and comfortably.

Every woman will take home:

A Kitara Yoni Steam Pot

Purpose-designed for preparing your herbs and steaming safely and comfortably at home.

Personalized Guidance

Kit will help you select the blend of steam herbs that best supports your needs and you'll leave knowing exactly which days of your cycle to steam and for how long.

She holds a Masters Degree from the London School of Economics in Gender and Social Policy and has travelled the world from Peru to Bali to Hawaii and around and back again studying with renowned healers in multiple ancient and modern modalities.

Skeptic to Superfan: Steam Practitioner

Initially, Kit thought yoni steaming sounded ridiculous. Then she steamed and everything changed. Now she credits the practice for her pain-free periods and regular menstrual cycles, her fertility in her forties, and its profound support of her trauma healing. Kit has now guided hundreds of women over the threshold and into their own reverence for steam and the benefits it holds for them.

FAQ's

Settle the mind | Nourish your knowing

Who is this evening for?

Nourish is an inclusive gathering for women of all ages, backgrounds, and identities.

You do not need to have a particular relationship with your womb, your cycle, spirituality, ceremony, or yoni steaming to belong here. You are welcome exactly where you are.

Wait...we're all going to yoni steam together?

Yes. And we know that might sound delightful to you—or it might feel a little edgy.

You will be fully clothed and wrapped while you steam. Wear something loose and comfortable that allows you to settle easily into child’s pose, and bring a favorite large blanket. Kitara steam blankets will also be available.

There is no nudity. You will have your own space within the larger circle, and Kit will hold and guide the room throughout the evening.

You get to be wrapped up, warm, comfortable, and gathered among women for the amplification of your experience.

I've never yoni steamed before. Can I still come?

Absolutely. First-time steamers are very welcome.

In fact, this is a beautiful opportunity to experience your first steam because you won't have to figure it out on your own.

Kit will ground the group in how to steam safely, help you determine the appropriate set-up for your body, and guide you through the experience from beginning to end.

And you'll leave knowing how to continue safely at home—with your own Kitara Yoni Steam Pot and guidance around which herbs to use and when to steam.

What is yoni steaming?

Yoni steaming—also known as vaginal, womb, pelvic, or v-steaming—is the practice of positioning the pelvic floor over heated water, often prepared with specific herbs.

It comes from traditions of midwifery and women's care practiced across cultures—ways women have tended to their bodies and one another through menstruation, fertility, postpartum, and other transitions.

During Nourish, we are bringing that practice into a contemporary women's circle: with safety, intention, and reverence for the ways women have known how to tend to themselves and each other.

Why do women yoni steam?

Women come to steaming for many reasons.

Yoni steaming uses warmth, water, herbs, and steam to support the release of stagnation: physical, emotional, and spiritual.

For the uterus, like all organs, has a beautiful and powerful self cleansing mechanism. And... we live in a world of external and internalized toxicity that leads to blockages and disease in the body, and womb.

We steam to invite the release of this stagnation so that we can come fully home to the natural and aligned rhythms and wisdom of our cyclical bodies.

Women use the practice in support of menstrual and womb health, fertility, postpartum recovery, perimenopause and menopause, sexual health, and emotional and spiritual healing.

And sometimes, the practice is simply an opportunity to stop, listen, and tend to a part of ourselves that is so often undernourished.

Do I have to steam?

No.

We want you in relationship with your own body throughout the evening. If steaming isn't appropriate for you that day—or you simply decide you don't want to—you are still completely welcome and held in the circle's connection to the wombspace.

There is nothing you need to push through or prove.

Is yoni steaming safe for everyone?

There are times when yoni steaming should not be practiced, including during pregnancy and active menstruation, and there are circumstances when an individual steam protocol may need to be modified.

Kit will review steam safety with the group before we begin. If you have a particular health circumstance and aren't sure whether steaming is appropriate for you, please reach out before the event.

I am in perimenopause and having erratic cycles and/or I am no longer bleeding. Is this for me?

YES! Kit herself is 45 and in the throws of utilizing her steam practice to support this transition.

Women who are through the menopausal portal are very welcome here too. It's a gift to be your presence and many women come to steam after the bleeding years and find it a potent practice to claim at this life phase.

What if child’s pose isn't comfortable for me?

No problem. Many will choose to steam in child’s pose to allow the steam to rise toward the womb from a restful and restorative position, but bodies are different.

If child’s pose isn't easeful or accessible for you, a yoni steam seat will be available so that you can steam seated instead.

Do I need to bring anything?

Bring a journal, a pen, a mug for tea, comfortable clothes, and a favorite large blanket if you have one.

Most importantly, bring yourself. You don't need to prepare for the circle, know what you want to release, or arrive with anything figured out.

What exactly is included in my ticket?

Your ticket includes the full Nourish experience: sisterhood, ceremony, and a fully guided yoni steam.

You will also take home a Kitara Yoni Steam Pot and knowledge of everything you need to continue with the practice at home.

Can I come alone?

Yes. Please do.

You do not need to bring a friend or already know someone in the room. Part of the medicine of gathering in circle is allowing ourselves to arrive among women we may not yet know and discover what becomes possible when we don't have to carry everything alone.
