Womb Healing Meditation with NEW "Remember" Candle
This womb healing meditation is a journey of sonic cleansing; a verbal tapestry intended to reverberate through generations.
Jillian Walker (she/her) is a singer, writer/playwright, composer, cultural and spirit worker, thinker, and healer devoted to remembering ancestral ways through her work and life.
She draws deeply on her training as a dramaturg (MFA Columbia), her Afro-indigenous studies, and the ongoing work of Black feminist thinkers to bring her sacred work(ing)s to the stage and beyond.
Some of her work(ings) include The NY Times-praised ancestral epic, SKiNFOLK: An American Show: which received several honors including a 2020 Lilly Award, and Antonyo for Best Orchestrations, and a place on the Kilroys List; the award-winning play, Sarah’s Salt. (Columbia@Roundabout, The Relentless Award, Honorable Mention); the mutli-form media piece, Songs of Speculation (which won the inaugural “Audio Unbound” Award from Third Coast); and the Black feminist thought-infused concert, Blue Ink: A Night with Jillian Walker, which performed to a sold-out audience at Joe’s Pub.
Jillian is currently working on several spirit-guided projects and collaborations, including an online ancestral writing course, a series of lyrical essays, video and new media works, a new play, her time-bending newsletter, The Free List, and yet to be un/defined visions for the present.
All of Kitara's candles are created in collaboration with and hand-poured by Yvonna Kopacz Wright, beekeeper and founder of Lomar Farms. #blackowned #womenowned
